Funny you should mention this Gladen...
Recently i've sent one or two Militiants on punishment duties rather than laps.
Garamire for example i ordered to assist with the repairing of one of the old Ballistae outside Stormwind, it proved to be quite entertaining (believe it or not) as we both donned the appropriate gear and begame hammering away at it and replacing the armour on it.
I have plans for labour duties as well
Say a Militiant gets told off by a superior officer and their name noted...
This name could perhaps go to me and then when a number of recruits get about a certain number of 'punishment points' a group of them will be given one of two things:
A Kobolt mining shovel
A Wood Cutting axe
A Blacksmith's hammer
A mining pick (There are several variants)
A Skinning knife
These tools will be provided from the bank (bought by me) and will be returned to their shelves after the labour work has been done.
I might even sort out some clothes suited towards hunting ect.
They would then be put into groups and sent out in either:
Quarry teams (Miners who are armed with pickaxes / shovels)
Hunting packs (Skinners and L/W'ers armed with guns / bows and knives)
Engineering teams (Engineers, with spanners / hammers to repair buildings)
Woodcutting teams (Herbalists with a wood cutting axe or a blade of some sort)
They will be observed by a superior officer who may or may not join in depending if they want to or not.
Once they have gathered a suitable amount of materials or the Officer in charge has deemed they have served their punishment duties they will then be dismissed and the harvesting equipment returned to the armoury.
In addition to this idea i think it would be suitable to open up another bank panel to place 'Rescources' into for either RP projects planned by the Militia (Repairing towers ect lost in Horde battle) or to provide suitable armour / weapons / rifles for Militiants.
As for 'We don't have badly behaved Militiants'
I think that if this idea was implemented it would proved not corruption within the Militia but it will keep the Officers (namely me
) on their toes and eyes on the alert for any slacking within the Militia..
EG:
Gambling (not sure if this is allowed or not for Militiants)
Prostitution (Militiants hanging around ladies of the night rather than dismissing them)
Defiance (Militiants not turning up to enough meetings *Gulps*)
and various other bits and bobs...
Thanks for bringing this up Gladen, never would have thought of it otherwise :pirate:
I really hope this gets some positive feedback and comments.
Hopefully even become implemented due to the lack of Thorium required for imperial this would possibly aid with that problem and supply us with more crafted armour / swords / guns / target dummies for training ect
